Fitness (English fitness, from the verb "to fit" - to fit, to be in good shape), a system of health-improving physical training and competitive discipline, the essence of which is to demonstrate a person's physical and mental health through his readiness for physical work.

Unlike aerobics, exercise and diet in fitness are selected individually - depending on the structure and characteristics of the figure. Everyone, without exception, regardless of age and state of health, even pregnant women, can practice this system.

There are many stereotypes and myths about fitness. Of course, every day more and more people go to the gym regularly, and many of them are quite savvy about diet and exercise - however, some misconceptions still stand in our path to health.

Fitness and you need to do either an hour a day, or not do it at all. The wrong approach. After all, even with short sessions, you can achieve success, improve your physical condition, and cheer up. It has been proven that even a half-hour walk (at an acceptable pace for you) three or more times a week helps to strengthen the immune system, normalize blood pressure, significantly reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and help get rid of stress.

Warming up the muscles before training is completely optional. Remember that by doing warm-up and stretching exercises before (and after) you protect your body from many painful injuries (such as sprains and inflammation of the tendons).

If nothing hurts after fitness, the loads were too small and the exercise itself is ineffective. This is not entirely true. Indeed, with muscle growth and endurance development, slight discomfort may appear. And the pain in the body that appears during exercise signals some kind of disorder. You cannot ignore it: you should either slow down the pace of the exercises, or end the workout.

Swimming doesn't help you lose weight. Completely erroneous opinion. After all, swimming in the most natural and extremely effective way develops muscles and helps burn excess calories.

If you hurt yourself during fitness, a warm compress will help. Exercise does not affect the state of mind.
